Students were instructed to create a monologue for either a major character in their required reading book, a minor character, or create an entirely new character. Each of their monologues were created in a Word document and then approved by the teacher.
Students then went to www.voki.com and created an account. They had to pick and/or create an avatar to fit their character, a background, appropriate apparel, etc. Finally, they recorded their monologues using either own voices or applied a voice from the menu list.
